We are excited to have you join LTUSD, and one of our 4 wonderful elementary schools! TK/K Online Enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year is open. Once you complete online enrollment (https://laketahoe.asp.aeries.net/air), you will be contacted by your school of residence to schedule a registration appointment and turn in paperwork.

Transportation is provided to the elementary school designated by your residence address. To learn more about which transportation zone you reside in, please visit the following interactive map and enter your address by clicking on the search icon:

Below is the criteria for acceptance into an elementary school:

A.            Students/Families wishing to attend their transportation zoned school will have first enrollment priority.

B.            Students/Families who have a sibling attending an elementary school and already accepted based on space availability, will be next on the priority list.

C.            Students/Families requesting a school outside of their transportation zone will be admitted, based on space available.  A lottery will be used if necessary.

·         We will strive to keep families with multiple elementary age children in the same school.

Please note: families requesting a school outside of their transportation zone may not receive acceptance confirmation until Mid. August.

Important! Enrollment Steps:

1.   Complete the Online Enrollment process.

2.   Download, print, and fill out the required forms. Links to all forms can be found at the beginning and end of the online enrollment process. 

3.   Schedule your health and oral examinations - bring the required forms to the appointments.

6.   If you are unable to download and print forms, please visit your school site and pick up a New Student Packet.

Please see below for Kindergarten/TK enrollment :

Kindergarten: 

• In order to be eligible for K, your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024. (CA State Law). 
• Kindergarten opportunities are available at all 4 of our elementary schools (Tahoe Valley, Sierra House, Meyers, and Bijou (Two Way Bilingual Immersion - limited space available).

Transitional Kindergarten (TK): A strong start for young learners, the TK program is for children who miss the cutoff birth date to enroll in kindergarten. TK provides time for younger students to engage in early academic learning experiences designed to promote success in kindergarten and beyond.  Transitional kindergarten is a part of the public school system and is free for families. 

• In order to be eligible for TK, your child must turn 5 years old between September 2 - June 2. 
• TK opportunities are available at Bijou Elementary (Transportation Zone 1) and Tahoe Valley Elementary (Zones 2 & 3)

The following documents are required to be delivered to the school site to complete TK & K enrollment. Once the paperwork is received, an appointment will be made to bring your child in for an initial assessment.

1.   Child's birth certificate. (CA Law)

2.   Proof of immunizations. Children will not be enrolled in school without presenting an up-to-date immunization record. (CA Law). For more information regarding required immunizations for California public schools, please click here.

3.   Proof of California residency (lease agreement, mortgage statement, or utility statement)

4.   Report of Health Examination (please schedule with your family Physician). (CA Law)

5.   Oral Health Assessment (dental examinations that have occurred in the last 12 months meet this requirement). (CA Law)
