LTUSD’s Behavioral Health, Wellness, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Foster Youth and Homeless Youth Services Department strives to support the mental health, wellbeing, and educational outcomes for all students, families, and staff in the South Lake Tahoe region. Using a multi-tiered model shaped by data-driven partnerships with districts, the Behavioral Health, Wellness, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Foster Youth and Homeless Youth Services Department designs and coordinates school-based, culturally responsive and inclusive mental health and wellness support for students, families, and staff. We strive to increase protective factors, prioritizing support for marginalized populations, starting with those situated farthest from opportunity.
