Each year, Lake Tahoe Unified School District hosts a State of the District to share an in-depth look at where our district is and where we are headed. This annual event provides the community with an opportunity to hear directly from district leadership and learn about our vision, mission, and priorities, including facilities and bond updates, the district budget, and educational programs. The evening also includes opportunities for community voice through guided tabletop conversations focused on Local Control Accountability Plan priorities and survey feedback, as well as a partner panel highlighting organizations that support our students and families. In addition to the State of the District, LTUSD hosts Community Conversations throughout the year, which focus on important topics impacting our schools and district and provide meaningful opportunities for dialogue, questions, and shared learning with our community.
The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) outlines how LTUSD will improve as a school district. Input from the State of the District and Community Conversations will be considered when updating the plan.

Below is the link to the responses from the tabletop conversations held during the March 19, 2025, State of the District. The questions and percentage responses originated from the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) survey, which was administered to students, staff, parents, and community members between December 19, 2024, and January 24, 2025. Four survey questions with a high rate of disagreement were selected for discussion and input during the State of the District meeting.
