Ruth Rich
Recognized for her steadfast support of education, Ruth Rich was nominated by Kathy Haven for the Distinguished Service award. Ruth has been a pillar of the LTUSD community, consistently advocating for student success and lending her voice to initiatives that support equitable access to learning. Her passionate commitment to uplifting youth and strengthening schools made her a trusted and respected ally to educators, students, and families alike.

Wendy David
Former LTUSD Board of Education member and lifelong public servant, Wendy David was nominated by Chris Campion for her exceptional leadership and civic engagement. Wendy’s career in service — from guiding district policy to her influential roles in local government — reflects a deep commitment to improving lives in South Lake Tahoe. Her vision and perseverance have positively impacted countless students and community members, making her a model of selfless public service.

Susan Baker

Grant Franklin Carter
Nominated by Gerald and Jill Carter, Grant Franklin Carter was honored as the Former Student inductee for his distinguished military service and ongoing leadership. Grant has served our country with honor, dedicating his career to maintaining combat readiness and ensuring national security, most recently in Japan. His achievements reflect the values instilled during his time at LTUSD — leadership, courage, and a commitment to serving others. He stands as a proud example of the excellence that begins in our schools and extends to the world.
