LTUSD Hall of Distinction

The Lake Tahoe Unified School District Hall of Distinction recognizes former students, former employees, and community members whose achievements, leadership, and service have made a lasting impact on LTUSD and the South Lake Tahoe community.

We invite community members to nominate outstanding individuals in one of three categories: Former Student, Former Employee, or Distinguished Service.

Nominations for the 2027 Hall of Distinction inductees will open on September 30, 2026, and close on November 18, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

A former student may be nominated if they:

• Left LTUSD at least 10 years ago
• Earned recognition while attending LTUSD for academic achievement, athletics, student leadership, or community service
• Achieved success after leaving LTUSD through higher education, athletics, career accomplishments, military service, or community service
• Demonstrate strong character and a commitment to serving others

A retired or former employee may be nominated if they:

• Left LTUSD at least 5 years ago
• Had an outstanding career within the District
• Made a significant impact on students through academics, athletics, or other student-centered programs
• Demonstrate strong character and a commitment to serving the community

A Distinguished Service nominee may be a community member, local business leader, or volunteer who has:

• Made extraordinary contributions that benefited LTUSD or one of its schools
• Demonstrated exceptional volunteerism or service to the District
• Supported charitable activities, events, or programs that contributed to student and school success

We encourage you to help us recognize those who have made a difference in the lives of LTUSD students and families by submitting a nomination during the nomination period.
