Preschool Enrollment Process
Kindergarten and TK Registration 26/27 School Year
Greetings and Welcome to LTUSD!
We are excited to have you join LTUSD, and one of our 4 wonderful elementary schools! TK/K Online Enrollment for the 2026-2027 School Year is open. Once you complete online enrollment (https://laketahoe.asp.aeries.net/air), you will be contacted by your school of residence to schedule a registration appointment and turn in paperwork.
Transportation is provided to the elementary school designated by your residence address. To learn more about which transportation zone you reside in, please visit the following interactive map and enter your address by clicking on the search icon:

Important! Enrollment Steps:
1. Complete the Online Enrollment process.
2. Download, print, and fill out the required forms. Links to all forms can be found at the beginning and end of the online enrollment process.
3. Schedule your health and oral examinations - bring the required forms to the appointments.
4. Wait for the school to contact you to schedule an appointment for registration and turn in paperwork.
6. If you are unable to download and print forms, please visit your school site and pick up a New Student Packet.

Kindergarten:
- In order to be eligible for K, your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026. (CA State Law).
- Kindergarten opportunities are available at all 4 of our elementary schools (Tahoe Valley, Sierra House, Meyers, and Bijou (Two Way Bilingual Immersion - By lottery only).
Transitional Kindergarten (TK): A strong start for young learners, the TK program is for children who miss the cutoff birth date to enroll in kindergarten. TK provides time for younger students to engage in early academic learning experiences designed to promote success in kindergarten and beyond. Transitional kindergarten is a part of the public school system and is free for families.
- In order to be eligible for TK, your child must turn 4 years old by September 1, 2026. (CA State Law)
- TK opportunities are available at Bijou Elementary (by Lottery Only) and Tahoe Valley Elementary (Zone 2) and Meyers Elementary (Zone 3), and Sierra House Elementary (Zone 1)
The following documents are required to be delivered to the school site to complete TK & K enrollment. Once the paperwork is received, an appointment will be made to bring your child in for an initial assessment.
1. Child's birth certificate. (CA Law)
2. Proof of immunizations. Children will not be enrolled in school without presenting an up-to-date immunization record. (CA Law). For more information regarding required immunizations for California public schools, please click here.
3. Proof of California residency (lease agreement, mortgage statement, or utility statement)
4. Report of Health Examination (please schedule with your family Physician). (CA Law)
5. Oral Health Assessment (dental examinations that have occurred in the last 12 months meet this requirement). (CA Law)
