To find biographies in
the
1. Use the online catalog to search for a biography of
your subject
2. If your subject is well known, use a general
encyclopedia, such as World Book or Britannica
3. If your subject has a particular career or is a
famous political leader, use the online catalog to search for books about that
subject.
Example:
1. If you looking for an athlete, type “Athletes
Biography” in the search window
2. Hit the “Subject” Button

author’s name and hit “search”

3. Select either the English or Spanish version
4. Type your subjects name in the search window and hit
“Go”.
b. Search for web sites using “The Librarian’s Index to the Internet”.

4. Type your subject’s name in the search window and click on “Search”
5. You will receive back a list of web sites. Click on those you want to view.
