Edgenuity Online Learning Program

Lake Tahoe Unified School District partners with Edgenuity Instructional Services to provide comprehensive, standards-aligned online courses taught by Edgenuity’s highly qualified, state-certified instructors. Edgenuity® courses are built using an instructional model grounded in research and are aligned to state standards, the Common Core, and the NGSS. Direct-instruction videos featuring expert, on-screen teachers, are combined with rigorous assignments, performance tasks, and assessments to engage students and ensure subject-area mastery.

Our online alternative educational program offers full or part-time courses for grades 6-12. If needed, we will provide your child with a Chromebook. Our online program is perfect for the student who:

  • Is in a sports program such as hockey or skiing that conflicts with traditional school hours
  • Travels frequently throughout the school year due to various situations
  • Is easily distracted in a classroom setting or has other learning challenges
  • Is an accelerated learner, has a conflicting class schedule, or is seeking credit recovery

The online program is provided at no cost to families residing in the Lake Tahoe Unified School District. A school counselor assess if placement in this program is the right option for your student.
