The Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee will release the first Annual Report to the Community (2009/10) upon approval of the report at the 3/31/10 CBOC meeting. |

On December 14, 2010, the Board of Education appointed the following citizens to the committee for a second term commencing 2/1/11: David Kelly (Seniors/Disabled), Patrick Martin (Taxpayers), and Mike Berg (Construction Industry). Four new members were appointed for a first term beginning 2/1/10: Ginger Nicolay-Davis (South Tahoe Association of Realtors), Jody Boles (Parents), Rick Angelocci (Parents/PTOs), and Joy Curry (At Large).

Two vacancies will occur on the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee on January 31, 2012
1. A member active in a business organization (selected by the Chamber of Commerce).
2. An “at-large” member of the community (selected from submitted applications).
Interested candidates are invited to apply to serve on the committee in the “at-large” category. Candidates must be at least 18 and reside within the District’s boundaries. Employees, officials, vendors, contractors, or consultants of the District are ineligible. Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Superintendent's Office, 1021 Al Tahoe Boulevard.

On January 26, 2010, the Board of Education approved an independent auditor’s report of LTUSD’s financial statements, including Measure G funds, for the period ended 6/30/09. The independent auditor found that the District is in compliance with all applicable regulations regarding the use of Measure G Funds.

On March 9, 2010, the Board of Education entered into a contract with the independent audit firm of Goodell, Porter, Sanchez, & Bright, LLP, Certified Public Accountants, to provide a "Performance Audit" for the Proposition 39 Bond transactions for the sixteen-month period ending June 30, 2010.

A Draft Copy of the June 30, 2010 Audit Report was reviewed by CBOC Members at the January 26, 2011 Meeting. The Audit was not approved as a quorem was not reached. The final report was appproved on May 4, 2011. CLICK HERE to read the Draft Copy of the Audit Report. |
